Welcome Railroad Fans! We’re pleased you share our interest in steam locomotives. Here at the Astoria Railroad Preservation Association (ARPA) we are hard at work restoring our 1925 Baldwin engine #21 to its original glory. We plan to give her a maiden spin for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial celebration in 2003. Sign up now to reserve your seat on this historic journey.

– January 17, 2001 SMOKEBOX – Joe Hubik of The Ogilvie Company rolled the smoke box sheet. It will now be possible to rivet in the new forward ring. The doubler plate will be riveted in the bottom. Then we will be able to mount the smoke box on the boiler. After this is completed many other items that are ready to go can be bolted on to the smoke box. These include the stack, builders plates and front cover etc.
